Dr. Mohammed Faruque

Dr. Mohammed Faruque is highly educated personality graduated under Dhaka University and obtained Master’s Degree & PhD from the Edward University, USA. He is a Freedom Fighter, who took part in the Liberation War of 1971, inspired by the 7th March speech of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Dr. Mohammed Faruque has come long way in business for the last 42 years since the inception of ORCHARD Group in 1981. He is one of the leading business personalities, who has vital contribution in ongoing economic transformation of Bangladesh. He is the founder Chairman of ORCHARD Group. Further, he is a Sponsor Director of Global Islami Bank Ltd., Founder Board of Trustee of Fareast International University and the Founder Chairman of BAIRA Life Insurance Company Ltd.

ORCHARD Group is involved in Ready Made Garments Industries, Banking, Migrant Worker Export & Training Centre, Hotel as well as Real Estate Development & Construction and others. Dr. Mohammed Faruque is the President of Orchard International (Recruiting License No. 10), Advisor of Royal Industrial Park Ltd. (Ceramic Unit), Managing Director of Orchard Sweaters Ltd., Chairman of Orchard Industries Ltd., Chairman of Hotel Orchard Plaza Ltd. and Managing Director of Orchard Developers & Construction Limited.

Dr. Mohammed Faruque was awarded CIP (Commercially Important Person) in the year 1990 to 1995, 2000 to 2001 and 2017 to 2019 the Government of Bangladesh. Besides he was awarded the Atish Diponkar Gold Medal in 1992 and Gold Medal from Jatio Shahitta Sangsad in 1996.

Dr. Mohammed Faruque is the Former Senior Vice President of BAIRA (Bangladesh Association of International Recruiting Agencies) and an Former Director of FBCCI (Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry). Moreover, he was the Founder President of HAAB (Hajj Agency Association of Bangladesh) and the Editor of The Current View a Tourism Newspaper.

He is actively associated with the Lions Club International (LCI). He was Council Chairman of LCI, Multiple District 315, Bangladesh for the year 1998-99 and also a District Governor of the District 315 B3 for the year 1997-98. Moreover, he is the Member of Kurmitola Golf Club, Permanent Member of Gulshan Club, a Life Member of Uttara Club, Sponsor Member of Dhanmondi Recreation Club and Donor Member of Banani Club.

In 2014, 2017 and 2018 Dr. Mohammed Faruque attended the United Nation General Assembly (UNGA) in New York as the Honorable Prime Minister’s entourage. In 2015 he visited Malaysia as a Business Delegate with the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Dr. Mohammed Faruque travelled many countries around the world, for his own business development as well as the member of the Business Delegate Team of the country to develop the bilateral trade relationship with foreign countries.

ファロック氏は、オーチャードインターナショナルの社長（人材採用ライセンス番号 10）、株式会社ロイヤル・インダストリアル・パーク（セラミック部門）の顧問、株式会社オーチャード・セーターズの代表取締役、株式会社オーチャードインダストリーズの会長、ホテル・オーチャードプラザの会長およびオーチャード・ディヴェロッパーズ＆コンストラクションの常務取締役を務めております。ビジネスマンとしてのファロック氏のひらめきと才能と尽力により、オーチャードグループは既製衣料品産業、銀行業、移民労働者の輸出・訓練、ホテル、不動産開発・建設などに様々な分野に携わる企業へと成長してきました。

ファロック氏は、1990年から1995年、2000年、2001年、2017年から2019年にバングラデシュ政府からCIP（商業的に重要な人物）を受賞しました。 さらに、1992年にアティシュ・ディポンカール金メダル、1996年にジャティオ・シャヒッタ・サングサドから金メダルの受賞歴もあります。

またファロック氏は、BAIRA (バングラデシュ国際人材紹介機関協会) の元上級副会長、FBCCI (バングラデシュ商工会議所連盟) の元理事を務めました。 さらに、HAAB (バングラデシュハッジ機関協会) の創設者・会長であり、観光新聞「The Current View」の編集者でもありました。

そして、ライオンズクラブ国際協会 (LCI) とも積極的なつながりがあります。 彼は、1998年から1999年にかけてバングラデシュのLCI第315複合地区の評議会議長を務め、1997年から1998年には第315地区B3の地区知事も務めました。 さらに、クルミトラゴルフ クラブの会員、グルシャンクラブの永久会員、ウットラクラブの終身会員、ダンモンディ・レクリエーションクラブのスポンサー会員、ボナニクラブのドナー会員でもあります。

自身の事業開発のため、また外国との二国間貿易関係を発展させるため、ファロック氏はビジネス代表団のメンバーとしてこれまで世界中の国を旅してきました。2015年にはシェク・ハシナ首相とともにビジネス代表団としてマレーシアを訪問しました。また、2014年、2017年、2018年には、ニューヨークで開催された国連総会（UNGA）に首相の側近として出席しました。
